You can be rest assured that if you ignore it and bury your head in the sand your competitors won’t.
Let Plumb Digital Media keep you updated on what is happening in the world of A.I.
On November 6th, 2023, OpenAI, the creators of the AI tool ChatGPT, held their first developers day. You can read more about it here.
During this event, OpenAI made several significant announcements. One of the main highlights was the release of the latest version of GPT, called GPT-4 Turbo. This new version comes with various improvements in terms of usability, including enhanced speed and reduced cost. Additionally, GPT-4 Turbo now has multimodal capabilities, which means it can handle tasks related to vision, image creation (through DALL·E 3), and text-to-speech (TTS).
Another exciting announcement from OpenAI was the introduction of the Assistants API. This API is designed to assist developers in creating agent-like experiences within their own applications, commonly known as bots. An assistant, in this context, refers to a purpose-built AI that follows specific instructions, utilizes additional knowledge, and can access models and tools to perform various tasks. This new API opens up possibilities for developers to enhance their applications with intelligent and interactive features.
